Kasabian - La Fée Verte (NYE Re:Wired at The O2)

(Dumblr says that the audio file I have of the studio version is actually too big to upload so… here’s the next best thing hehehe)

This was from Kasabian’s New Year’s gig at the O2 and it’s incredible. They have such an immense stage presence (from what I’ve seen in videos, at least. And did you SEE them at the NME Awards? What great people) and I’d definitely recommend looking through their Vevo channel on Youtube and watching some of these songs from the performance.

This is probably my favourite song off of their latest album, Velociraptor!. The way it begins just sounds so eerie and mysterious and that definitely draws me in and it continues with that whole mysterious vibe throughout the whole thing that fits so well with the drums and I can’t explain it, but once I start that song, I almost always need to finish it because it’s just So. Good.

Kudos to the KILLER transition between La Fée Verte and Velociraptor! by the way,  because it’s absolutely flawless and I compulsively listen to these two songs together just to hear those cool, eerie noises fade off and lead up to a loud boom with a “BLAST OFF!”. It just pairs together so well and I don’t think I’ve ever been so in love with a transition, or maybe that’s just because I never really payed too much attention to one.
